Andy Carroll created New Record of Goals
14 goals in 51 appearances, that’s the record that Andy Carroll has created ever since he joined West Ham United back in August of 2012 as the Englishman originally signed a loan deal with the Premier League club but the contract was transformed into a permanent. This decision might not have been a wise one as Carroll is considered to be a huge flop.
€15 million was the transfer fee that West Ham United had to pay in order to sign Andy Carroll permanently as the player made a switch from Liverpool over to West Ham United hoping that he would turn into a regular starter and a prolific goal-scorer, unfortunately for him it never happened.
During Andy Carroll’s first season as a player of West Ham United, he made 24 appearances as he was a regular player for the club but after only managing to score 7 goals, it really wasn’t the dream start that the English forward wanted to have.
The following season things did not get much better for Carroll as he made 15 Premier League appearances and only scored 2 goals.
Andy Carroll is currently injured as he suffered a tear in his medial ligament during West Ham United’s match against Southampton which was played on February of 2015 and after undergoing surgery it has been confirmed that the player will not be able to get back in the playing grounds and perform for his team for the remainder of the season.
This means that his season is over even though the Premier League still has around 2 more months before it concludes. Currently, in this season Carroll has made 14 Premier League appearances and found the back of the net on 5 occasions. Read more »
