CARROLL BOOST

West Ham United have been boosted by the news that the striker Andy Carroll could be back from injury sooner than expected. The Liverpool striker moved to the club on a season long loan deal, but he has played very little for the club due to a number of injury problems. The player has made only 10 appearances in the first half of the season, while he has just one goal to his name. However, the West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has been extremely supportive of him by saying that his presence has made it easy for the other players to score goals.

In his absence, West Ham United have suffered a very bad run of form that has seen them slip into the bottom half of the table. West Ham United have not managed a victory in the Premier league since the 2-1 win over Norwich in the start of January, while they have just two victories for the last two months. The striker was injured during the end of November, and since then their form has plummeted. Sam Allardyce has tried to make some changes to the squad by bringing in the Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh on a loan deal, but he has yet to make an impression.

“It’s about him proving to himself and helping us by scoring more goals and producing performances we can get excited about. He’s good in the air and getting between defenders from crosses. We can provide the materials and ammunition for him to get a few goals,” said Allardyce ahead of the weekend’s match. The club will be having very important matches over the course of the next few weeks when they will be facing the likes of Fulham and Aston Villa. They are teams closer to them and beating them will be a great motivation.

HAPPY WITH FORM

The West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has said that he is happy with the behaviour of the England international and the Liverpool striker Andy Carroll, who is currently on loan at the club till the end of the season. The 23-year-old former Newcastle United striker has been regarded as a major flop following his £ 35 million move to Liverpool. He has been trying to revive his form back by making the loan move to West Ham. Even though he has been struck by injury problems during his time at West Ham, he has been instrumental in helping the club get into the top half of the table.

However, he was recently injured and Allardyce said that the injury would keep him out for up to 8 weeks. In the meantime, he has been caught on an issue involving him and the paparazzi photographer, which has left him arrested by the police. He has been causing a lot of negative publicity is making the move to West Ham, but the manager Allardyce is not concerned about the negative press. He has said that Andy Carroll has been fantastic for the club is making a loan deal to London. It is expected that West Ham will try and make the move permanent in the summer.

“I’ve got the details, all the statements. I suppose, at the moment, if there’s still an investigation going on, I think I can’t comment too far on it apart from the fact that all I know is it was a huge aggravation by a photographer who became a pest. I’m happy Andy and all the lads conducted themselves in the right manner. They [the players] enjoyed themselves like they should do and it’s built, again, another fantastic spirit in the team,” said Allardyce.
