ANDY CARROLL: MY TEAM MATES ALSO DESERVE ENGLAND CALL UP

West Ham striker, Andy Carroll says his team mates also deserve a call up to the national team based on their performances this season.

He believes team-mates Aaron Cresswell and Mark Noble are also deserving of a place in England’s squad this summer according to latest reports from The Sun.

Carroll has been in blistering form for the Hammers of late, impressing a number of Premier League observers and prompting calls for an England shot following his hat-trick against Arsenal. There is no denying that the former Newcastle United man would a strong option for England, yet thus far not a single West Ham player has been called up by Roy Hodgson leading up to the summer.

Carroll, speaking to reporters on the matter, says he has not given up hope yet of a call-up while also suggesting both Cresswell and Noble deserve to be given an opportunity to stake a claim for a place.

The centre forward was quoted saying:

“I’ve got the holiday all ready to go but I’ve not paid the deposit yet just in case.

“Maybe me, Mark Noble and Aaron Cresswell deserve to be there. I’ve not given up hope for sure,” he told The Sun reporters.

Carroll, 27, was in the England squad for the European Championships in 2012 and proved to be a real handful for defences, using his height and aerial power to bully defenders.

The player has been highlighted as one of the players to watch for in the final game for stoke as they face West Ham on Sunday. West Ham have plenty to play for as they go for Europa League qualification and it is believed that they’ll be buzzing still after departing Upton Park for the last time with such a brilliant win over Manchester United last week. The striker who has used his aerial strength to his advantage a lot of times this season, alongside Dimitri Payet, Aaron Cresswell and others, plan to make the game one that would be a nightmare for Stoke.
